Nancy Grice’s paintings combine landscape and abstraction. Her current work is mostly acrylic, based on the view of the trees and skyline outside of her studio in Harpswell. The trees, in dynamic collaboration with the earth and sky, seem to be a perfect metaphor for connecting the dirt of earth with the cosmos.
For Nancy, painting is a way to participate in the activity of life and my experience of nature and spirit.
